We come now to a verse which gives one the very core as to "why" such evil in Germany was unleashed, during those terrible years of the "ESTATE" Fascism/Nazism, and "why" it was that mankind seemed to be mesmerised by this Leader Hitler. Let us read what Daniel 11:39 says. "THUS SHALL HE DO IN THE MOST STRONGHOLDS WITH A STRANGE GOD, WHOM HE SHALL ACKNOWLEDGE AND INCREASE WITH GLORY: AND HE SHALL CAUSE THEM TO RULE OVER MANY, AND SHALL DIVIDE THE LAND FOR GAIN".

When Daniel speaks the words "THUS SHALL HE DO" he is reiterating all the words of identification against this "HE", leader Hitler, from the past verses of 36, 37, and 38. Giving us the full translating of them for us to understand, the agony Hitler brought to all peoples in secular history at that time. -Especially to the whole nation of Israel during his reigning period of terror in these time zones of history.- The four words of "THUS SHALL HE DO", also endorses "where" most of the evil carried out by this king is strongest, and that is within Germany itself. Because, after the words, "THUS SHALL HE DO", Daniel continues with the words; "IN THE MOST STRONGHOLDS WITH A STRANGE GOD".

Here within Germany was the lair of that wild beast of THIS STRANGE GOD, which was the motivating force behind Hitler's destiny and reason for living, and the reason "why" mankind suffered and died in so many agonising ways at that time! Before we look into "who" this STRANGE GOD was, let us look back at the verses we have just been through, and realise how many gods have been mentioned therein. In verse 36 we read how Hitler magnified himself as a god in his "Triumph of the will. How he spoke against the Almighty God. In verse 37 we read Hitler disregarded the God of his fathers and had regard for the wellbeing of no other god other than himself. In verse 38 Hitler honoured the god of forces within the state of Fascism . There is also a "secret god" who Hitler honoured with vast treasure, which he collected all over Europe. For to make his god within Nazism prosper and proliferate over the world. Which would stand as a colossus ruling for a thousand years as the Third Reich, which was always his boast!

In Daniel 11:39 we now start to unfurl "where" the core of this strange god was, and "why" and "how" this whole sorry mess of Hitler's ambitions and nightmarish dreams came into being. Thereby drenching Germany in the blood of the guilty and the innocents of mankind, leaving their ghosts behind to howl their passing!

The words, "IN THE MOST STRONGHOLDS" from verse 39, is a reference to where the rituals towards this strange god were carried out, and are defined thus: "MOST", means a greatest or highest degree or the greatest effect.

The "STRONGHOLDS" means a place or places of security, or a fortified place. So, then it reads, "Hitler will do the honour and worship of his "STRANGE GOD" to the greatest degree, with the greatest effect in places of security within Germany, sometimes secreted away for reasons known to himself. It has to be within Germany only, because it is "here" Hitler felt safest. Though he thought he understood the politics of other countries, he had never ventured outside German lands, until he captured France, etc. during World War II. Hitler's "STRANGE GOD" was worshiped and paraded with triumph at Nuremberg especially, at Berlin, Munich, and his place at Berchtesgaden. "Secret places" were kept at the Castle of Wewelsburg in Northwest Germany. (Which same castle Heinrich Himmler bought); and in Externsteine in Lower Saxony. These were some of the "most strongholds" which Daniel said, "THUS SHALL HE DO".

That "STRANGE GOD" of Hitler's inner man emerged as the god of War "Mars". The devout man Daniel, writing these peculiar words of prophecy over thousands of years ago, it all must have seemed very strange indeed! Daniel knew full well all about the "living" God of Israel, because Daniel had met Gods ministers of angels' face to face who talked to him and had shown him great wonders of reality. Here in verse 39 however Daniel was foretelling of a leader of men, whose belief was in a mythical god called "Mars" and the god of forces. It must then have seemed absurd to him! Let us find out a little about this strange god "Mars" whom Hitler worshipped in his "secure places of STRONGHOLDS".

In the ancient Roman religion Mars or Mavors was a god of agriculture, but pre- eminently of war. He was considered after Jupiter to be the most important Roman deity; His altar stood in the Campus Martius, (Field of Mars), and the god Mars shared with Jupiter the honour of being called "pater" (father). The month of March was sacred to this god. By later Romans he was identified with Ares the Greek god of war and was thus regarded as the son of Jupiter and Juno. Even as Ares was the son of Zeus and Hera.

The composer Gustav Holst in 1914 AD wrote magnificent music called "The Planets", in which he immortalised the gods of the planets. History recalls Gustav Holst as a tragic lonely figure, a composer of great ability who had studied astrology. (Which science dates back to the Babylonian civilisation in the eighth century BC). Gustav Holst study of astrology had put into his music that awareness of the heavens, which made him famous. The first movement of this symphony, "The Planets", is of the god Mars, -the Bringer of War- and this movement has been called "the most ferocious piece of music in existence". His movement of Jupiter on the other hand was the bringer of "Jollity".

So, for Hitler to hold the god of Mars with respect was nothing new. Hitler being a magician, or delving deeply into the black arts,- which he seemed to have done from an early age.- He would have known all about the difference between invoking the god Jupiter, who is supposed to be benevolent power, and Mars the dark power.

The Magician's temple or "STRONGHOLD" in which Hitler would have worshiped must have had elaborate furnishings or decorations to the god he was invoking. As we have read before, the Nazi party as a whole were great masters of political ritual magic, as the Nuremberg rallies have shown. The rallies were formalised and stage-managed in the same way any magician on a theatrical stage would perform. Hitler's impressive rallies were dominated by colours of black, red, and white, which colours represented war, death, and terror. Other colours were the black and brown of the "ESTATE" Fascism, under their symbol for violence.

During the vast union of men in these rallies ceremoniously consecrated their swastika banners by enfolding and mingling them together with the "blood banner". Which was held as a personal sacred banner of Hitler himself. This was part of the Ceremony to invoke the god Mars, the god of war. After dark the climax of these mystical rallies was reached when search lights swept the sky, then forming a temple of light. On the ground thousands of people moved en-masse with flickering torches, looking as if all the stars twinkled on earth instead of being in the sky. The adventure made the exhilarating affect on people's minds it had set out to do. Fanfares of trumpets sounded their call to invoke the senses of man, coupled with great stirring strong military music reaching out to the imagination, thus piercing into the Germanic heart and soul. Most peoples at that moment believing the myth of their unbeatable pure Aryan race of people, from the seeds that Hitler had carefully sowed!

The precision of the marching men, the sound of their marching feet to the tempo of great soaring music. The colours, the banners, the thousands of eagles flying atop the banners, the thousands of crooked swastikas all perfectly stage managed to its fullest affect, all this towards the gods of war and strength of forces. Which to the ancient Romans and Greeks would have symbolised, that this pageant would have been the worship and sacrifice to the war gods Mars or Ares.

The magazine the "Unexplained" sums up these ritualistic rallies at Nuremberg fully when it says, "IF AN OCCULTIST OF GREAT EXPERTISE HAD SPENT YEARS IN DEVISING A RITUAL TO INVOKE MARS, "HE WOULD HAVE BEEN UNLIKELY TO HAVE COME UP WITH ANYTHING MORE EFFECTIVE THAN THE CEREMONIES EMPLOYED AT NUREMBERG SOME OCCULTISTS CLAIM THAT THOSE WHO RAISE THE OLD GODS FROM THE DEPTH OF THE UNCONSCIOUS RUN THE RISK OF BEING DESTROYED BY THEM. CERTAINLY MANY OF THE YOUNG MEN WHO INVOKED MARS AT NUREMBERG EVENTUALLY FELL AS SACRIFICES TO THAT DREADED GOD- AT STALINGRAD, AT KURSK (Russia) AND IN THE FIRE AND SMOKE OF BESIEGED BERLIN".

I will continue reader with a few more condensed items from "The Unexplained", to give us a fuller picture as to what was going on in Germany at that time. Which in turn explains the situation of the STRANGE GOD "Mars" that Daniel sets us to understand in verse 39.

The "Unexplained Magazine", "FRIEDRICH KROHN A STERNBERG DENTIST WHO WAS ALSO AN OCCULTIST, SUGGESTED AS A SYMBOL FOR THE NATIONAL SOCIALIST (Nazi) A SWASTIKA FOR THE STRUGGLE FOR THE VICTORY OF THE ARYAN MAN. NEXT CAME A GENERAL SUPPRESSION OF ALL OCCULT GROUPS, EVEN- TO THE CHAGRIN AND SURPRISE OF MEMBERS- THE GERMAN ORDER AND THE THULE SOCIETY. BOTH THESE CONTAINED MANY NAZIS, OF COURSE, BUT EVEN FOR THESE THERE WAS NO EXCEPTION. WITH THE SOLE EXCEPTIONS OF "INNER PARTY MEMBERS" SUCH AS CERTAIN OF HIMMLERS PERSONAL SS AIDES, OCCULTISTS OF ALL SHADES HAD BEEN DONE AWAY WITH OR DRIVEN UNDERGROUND IN GERMAN OCCUPIED COUNTRIES BY 1940. THE CENTRAL BANQUETING HALL CONTAINED A VAST ROUND TABLE WITH 13 THRONE-LIKE SEATS TO ACCOMMODATE HIMMLER AND 12 OF HIS CLOSEST APOSTLES,- MAKING, AS SOME OCCULT WRITERS HAVE POINTED OUT, A COVEN OF 13. HITLER ALTHOUGH HE KNEW ALL HOPE HAD GONE, WAITED IN HIS BUNKER UNTIL 30 APRIL 1945 BEFORE SHOOTING HIMSELF, WITH EVA BRAUN, WHOM HE HAD JUST MARRIED. THE DATE WAS TO SIGNIFICANT TO OCCULTISTS TO BE COINCIDENCE. IT WAS THE DAY THAT ENDS WALPURGIS NIGHT - THE HIGH FEAST OF THE POWERS OF DARKNESS".

Before I go on much further reader, I will explain what "Walpurgis night" is. It is the eve of May 1st, and the name Walpurgis has become rather involved. There was a saint Walburga who was an abbess and missionary who died in 779 AD in West Germany, (She was originally a Benedictine from the monastery of Dorsetshire in England). Her remains are interred in the Church of the Holy Cross of Eichstatt Germany, it is said the rock upon which her relics rest, secretes a mysterious fluid possessing miraculous powers. Soon after her death her name has become confused with Waldborg a pagan fertility goddess. So, on the eve of May 1st which is the anniversary when the remains were taken to the Holy Cross-of Eichstatt, witches are believed to rendezvous in the Harz Mountains Germany.

Perhaps reader you will have noted that the reference to a "STRANGE GOD" from Daniel 11:39 and Hitler, is not only the god Mars, but has entwined names such as Ares, Woden, Coven, witches, occult, magician, Walpurgis night, paganism and Satan. So, reader, make up your own mind just what was going on in such a civilised nation as Germany during those times!

Let us continue to unravel the latter sentence of Daniel 11:39. "WHOM HE SHALL ACKNOWLEDGE AND INCREASE WITH GLORY: AND HE SHALL CAUSE THEM TO RULE OVER MANY, AND SHALL DIVIDE THE LAND FOR GAIN". We have already read how Hitler "ACKNOWLEDGED" his STRANGE GOD of war and of forces named, "Mars," with the extraordinary parades at Nuremberg and Berlin. We have read of the length to which these extravaganzas were embellished with theatrical performances. We have read of the "secret STRONGHOLDS" where the god "Mars" was evoked, through the Satanic black arts. We have read how the plundering of treasures of all types, from the conquered lands of Europe were secreted away; In order that the glorification of the Third Reich - whom the god "Mars" was the core of its life - was "ACKNOWLEDGED" and would last a thousand years.

It seems the "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT" and glory toward the mythological god Mars, was first only an idea in the mind of the young Hitler. As he grew into manhood so did his acceptance of ancient Teutonic gods and the occult, until it became the all- pervading influence on his own destiny. As the years passed and his role towards the leadership of men reached its zenith, so did the "ACKNOWLEDGING" and "GLORIFICATION" of the god "Mars" was to grow in stature. Until all Hitler's paths in life and towards death was aimed straight to this one goal. Hitler believed the vision of his destiny came from within the occult, so he lived according to its dictates. So, was fulfilled the prophetic words of Daniel, when Hitler "ACKNOWLEDGED" another god not known by his fathers. He brought together all the "GLORY" he could muster in his rituals. To "ACKNOWLEDGE" someone or something, is to make a confession to admit and recognise, it is a return for a benefit received, this Hitler did to the full! The last words on this subject -Hitler- spoken by Daniel in Verse 39 says:- "AND HE SHALL CAUSE THEM TO RULE OVER MANY".- Who is Daniel referring to when the word "THEM" is used? You will remember reader that in verse 38 and the unravelling of the words "IN HIS ESTATE", we translated the "ESTATE" as the "body politic" that of Fascism, and the condition of that "ESTATE" was towards the god of forces: The alliance that cemented this body was the Rome-Berlin Axis (1936) signed by the marauding eagles Hitler and Mussolini. You will also remember reader that in 1929 the "Lateran Treaty" was signed between Mussolini, and the then Pope XI of the Roman Catholic church.

Though one cannot equate the Roman Church and the rights of the Vatican with the conditions of the "Fascists ESTATE". However, the forces of the populace that the Roman Church represented and held in its grip, was to be sucked into the signing and endorsing of "FASCISM" when it signed the Lateran Treaty. Which the meaning of Fascism became all too plain as the 1939-45 war progressed.

Let us have a quick look into the background of the later Pope of those times the reason for his friendly attitude to Mussolini and Hitler. Pope Pius XII ascended the papal throne in 1939, who, before that time had been apostolic nuncio to Bavaria Germany for 3 years. Then first papal nuncio to Berlin Germany for 9 years therefore, he spoke German fluently and his length of time in Germany gave him an understanding of the people and all things German. The Popes conduct towards the march of Fascism in Europe during World War II has gone down in history as a subject for much controversy. On one hand he seems to have repeatedly issued a plea for peace, and was against totalitarian governments, and yet! Entered into a concordat with Hitler's Germany in 1933. He spoke out loud, clear, and often against communism in Catholic Spain, but tried to remain "neutral" in the face of Christian and Jewish persecution that was going on in his neck of the woods. He also protested loudly at the bombing of the Vatican City by the Germans in 1943.

We, who lived in those times remember clearly the voices raised against the Pope. When it was said that Jewish people had been hiding in the Vatican City, and in order to stop the bombing the Jews were handed over to the Fascist government. Many angry people thought the Pope seemed to be thinking more about the devastation of sticks and mortar, than the devastation of flesh and blood. Whether these comments were an unkindness to him or whether it was factual, it gave one, -both Protestant and Roman Catholic- an uneasy feeling that he had double standards. Thereby leaving a bad taste in the mouth, -as the saying goes!- It is clear however the Pope acknowledged the "ESTATE Fascism" as a fact of life, he entered into relations with them because he wanted to keep his hold on the Roman Catholics of both these countries, and perhaps upon both the "leaders" of this ESTATE of, Hitler and Mussolini?

The Concordat of 1933 between the then Pope and Hitler were drafted mainly by Pius XII it was a pact with the force of international law and was concluded between the ecclesiastical authority and secular authority on matters of mutual concern. We go back to Daniel's words, "AND HE" (Hitler) SHALL CAUSE THEM TO RULE OVER MANY". -During those times, in Italy alone, there seemed to be several persons called "THEM" trying to hold onto power to "RULE MANY". Not only did Benito Mussolini rule, but also King Victor Emmanuel III, who was self-styled, Emperor of Ethiopia (1936-44) King of Albania (1939-44), and Pope Pius XII ruled. Who considered himself over all temporal rulers. There were also lesser secular officials and priests carrying out their power sharing.

In Germany, Hitler delegated various arms of his leadership to the notables of terror, Hermann Goring, Joseph Goebbels, Rudolf Hess, Heinrich Himmler, Joachim Von Ribbentrop etc. giving "THEM" complete control in their respective spheres of leadership. For example, Heinrich Himmler became the "Power" behind the extermination of the Jewish problem, answerable only to Hitler himself. Daniel's "THEM who ruled over many others", also included leaders of nations within the occupied countries, called the "puppet rulers" answerable only to Hitler. For example, in France, Hitler caused Pierre Laval to rule the French people, and in Norway it was Vidkun Quisling a Nazi Henchman; (Which same word Quisling has passed into the English language in a derogatory manner, -meaning traitor). It is these men with the ruling manner, within many nations of peoples, -and more- who came under the heel of Hitler and his Fascists regime, Daniel's verse 39 calls to mind, the overall situation in the words, "HE SHALL CAUSE THEM TO RULE OVER MANY". The word "RULE" means to establish for guidance and direction in any form. "He" Hitler had the power to direct and command countries and courts of men. Hitler had the legal right with "THEM" that his wishes be carried out by others to govern, and he chose many men and situations for that use. So, "THEM" indeed ruled over many! The remainder of verse 39 of Daniel 11 says; "AND SHALL DIVIDE THE LAND FOR GAIN". When one "DIVIDES" something it is apart, rent asunder, bereaved, to separate into two or more pieces, to cause a barrier between, to share and deal out and set at variance. All this disunity and separating in many lands of nations, -this King Hitler- did, during the height of his power. He rewrote the map of Europe and set the people called "THEM" to rule over the divided "MANY" people of occupied territory. When one "GAINS" something, -as verse 39 says,- it is to profit by it, or to attain by industry and employment of capital etc. It is an advantage by superiority or success, to win over and gain ground, to advance, progress, and encroach upon. One sees instantly in the translating of the word "GAIN" that Hitler did all those things during World War II. He, indeed, had a superior build-up of forces which advanced, encroached upon, progressed and gained much ground, over many types of people within Europe. With Hitler's success he won "living space" for Germany as HE had said, and the borders of Germany changed for "GAIN".

For instance, with Poland the Germans had played a game of seesaw from World War I, Poland was then under Kaiser Wilhelm's Germany. After the war it was handed back to the Polish people. In World War II Poland went back to Germany under Hitler. The first movements under the words "GAINING" and "DIVIDING" was called "Lebensraum". The annexation of Austria to Germany was for Union claimed by a nation for development. Hitler needed all the German speaking peoples to come under the German "ESTATE", so HE "GAINED" more land. He needed places like the industrial region of the River Ruhr. Which France and Belgium occupied, Hitler gained more land of Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia for advancement and employment. He told the questioning nations of the world he needed this, or that part of a country for some strange reason. All to quieten their suspicions after he had marched into the lands and taken them. So, he went on "GAINING" more land.

It was said that Germany always seemed to be in perpetual state of emergency, because so much was happening around them, through the demands of the all-powerful, consuming, Adolf Hitler.

So was fulfilled and accomplished in secular history, as prophesied in Daniel's verses to the letter of the Law. Which incredibly Daniel had written of Adolf Hitler over 2,000 years ago!
